The Coming Renaissance Is Really a Reformation, Says The Illuminator Movement

The next decade will be defined not only by what leaders create, but by the convictions and character beneath it.

Samantha Jayne Brunskill · 26 September 2026 · Media release

26 September 2026 — The Illuminator Movement today released a cultural leadership position describing the widely anticipated renaissance in technology, creativity and enterprise as something deeper: a reformation of the foundations beneath what society builds.

Founder Samantha Jayne Brunskill distinguishes the two ideas clearly. A renaissance changes what a civilisation produces. A reformation changes what a civilisation believes. The decade ahead, she argues, will bring both, but only one can provide a foundation capable of surviving the speed of change.

Tools amplify the hands that hold them. The defining question is not only what we will build, but what we will believe while we build it, and whether the character of our leaders can carry the authority those tools create.

The movement connects this reformation with the coming transfer of wealth and influence to a new generation. It holds that financial resources, reach and technology are not neutral outcomes; they magnify the convictions and patterns already present in the people who wield them.

The Illuminator Movement therefore identifies formation as the decade’s central leadership bottleneck. Information and strategy are widely available, while the identity, integrity and stewardship required to hold influence under pressure remain comparatively scarce.

Samantha describes the leaders needed for this period as Illuminators: pioneers who go first, model the way and prepare the path. They know their God-given design, treat money and visibility as trusts rather than trophies, and make decisions with future generations in view.

The renaissance is coming either way. The reformation is decided by who shows up formed. Be forged in private, then carry light into the sphere you have been given.

Faith-led

We build with God at the centre.

The Illuminator Movement is a faith-led movement. We believe every good thing — wealth, influence, talent, time — is entrusted, never self-made, and given to be stewarded well. Profit is a tool. Legacy is the assignment. You do not have to share our faith to belong here, but you should know what we are building on.

Much has been entrusted to this generation. Much will be required of it.
