As a young girl, I remember growing up on the farm. I would often feel a lot of darkness, with different experiences happening around me. I was a highly sensitive child who often felt like a wise old soul in a child’s body. I couldn’t wait to grow up. I didn’t really connect with many things for my age — I wanted to grow up as fast as I could to do bigger things with my life. I felt things deeper. I sensed the meanings behind things. I often felt like I was tapped into a spiritual world.
What gave me solace through this time was believing that a God did exist. That in the darkness — even though I didn’t go to church or know about the Bible — I would pray whenever negative things were happening. I said, “God, if You are real, show me,” and I would pray and wait to see what would happen. I would take all the burdens that were on my heart and write prayers and songs, and I would sing them under the big trees on my farm. I would walk alone, often carrying these burdens, and what gave me hope was being able to put those deep emotions into poems and songs and art.
Since finding Jesus, this passion of mine has been reignited. I find that often what helps me find hope in these times are the songs that come from my secret place with the Lord and Father Jesus.
I have created this YouTube channel and these albums as a deep expression of what’s been on my heart the last two years since coming to Jesus. I hope they provide you with intimacy, love, power, authority and clarity, and help you to steward with victory what God has entrusted to you.
