Who Are the Illuminators? Samantha J. Defines the Leaders God Is Raising for Every Sphere of Influence

A leadership category centred on formation, stewardship and faithful influence rather than visibility.

Samantha Jayne Brunskill · 26 September 2026 · Media release

26 September 2026 — The Illuminator Movement today set out its defining answer to a question at the centre of its work: who is an Illuminator?

According to founder Samantha Jayne Brunskill, an Illuminator is not simply an influencer, public personality or high-performing founder. An Illuminator is a pioneer who goes first, models the way and prepares the path, carrying clarity and a durable standard into places shaped by confusion or short-term thinking.

A personality asks, ‘How do I get seen?’ An Illuminator asks, ‘What has been entrusted to me, and how do I carry it faithfully?’ The world has enough personalities. It is short on stewards whose private character can carry their public authority.

The definition rests on the movement’s 3.5 percent idea: meaningful cultural change is often initiated by a committed minority willing to go first. The movement uses the idea as a call to responsibility, not exclusivity. An Illuminator is one of the 3.5 percent who accepts formation before influence and service before status.

The Illuminator Movement sees these leaders emerging across business, government, education, media, arts and entertainment, family and faith. In each sphere, their work has a practical shape: ethical enterprise, truthful communication, responsible capital, institutions built for human flourishing and homes that intentionally form the next generation.

Its message is particularly directed to successful founders and leaders who have reached a private ceiling, where achievement no longer answers the deeper questions of identity, purpose and responsibility. Rather than offering more information alone, the movement begins with formation.

Be forged first, then be the light. Carry what has been formed in you into the room, business, family or industry already in your hands. Not for applause, but for the generations to come.

Faith-led

We build with God at the centre.

The Illuminator Movement is a faith-led movement. We believe every good thing — wealth, influence, talent, time — is entrusted, never self-made, and given to be stewarded well. Profit is a tool. Legacy is the assignment. You do not have to share our faith to belong here, but you should know what we are building on.

Much has been entrusted to this generation. Much will be required of it.
