Samantha J. Says Millennials Are Positioned ‘for a Time Such as This’

The founder of The Illuminator Movement reframes millennial restlessness as a summons to steward wealth, institutions and influence for the generations to come.

Samantha Jayne Brunskill · 26 September 2026 · Media release

26 September 2026 — The Illuminator Movement today issued a generational call to millennials, arguing that the generation often criticised for wanting more may instead be expressing a deeper hunger for meaning, formation and responsibility.

Founder Samantha Jayne Brunskill points to an unusual convergence within millennials’ working lifetime: a historic transfer of wealth, the passing of leadership across major institutions and a technological renaissance rebuilding nearly every industry.

No generation chose this convergence, but convergence is what calling can look like from the inside. The question is not whether the moment comes. It is whether anyone is formed to carry it.

The message draws on the biblical account of Esther, who found herself positioned in a place of influence at the moment her people needed courageous action. For The Illuminator Movement, ‘for a time such as this’ is not sentimental language. It describes the responsibility that accompanies placement, access and authority.

Samantha says many successful millennial founders are reaching a ceiling that cannot be solved by another growth tactic. Their business may be working while peace, clarity and a sense of purpose are missing. The movement interprets that tension not as failure, but as an invitation to formation.

Its response is identity before strategy, character before platform and stewardship before scale. The aim is to prepare leaders to carry money, influence and visibility without losing who they are, and to convert success into a foundation others can build upon.

You are not behind, and you are not too late. If the ache is asking a larger question of you, answer it. Be forged, then be the light in your business, your family, your industry and your city. You may be right on time, for a time such as this.

Faith-led

We build with God at the centre.

The Illuminator Movement is a faith-led movement. We believe every good thing — wealth, influence, talent, time — is entrusted, never self-made, and given to be stewarded well. Profit is a tool. Legacy is the assignment. You do not have to share our faith to belong here, but you should know what we are building on.

Much has been entrusted to this generation. Much will be required of it.
